Morbi (Gujarat):The impact of raw material price hike and demonetization has been scaled down slowly. “The moderate GDP prediction by world bank and GST will boost the economy opening the way of more new consumer's demand. Packaging is one of them and we want to be the part of this growth.” told by Mr.Jayendra Kumar, Managing Director of Balaram Papers Pvt.Ltd.A 100 TPD plant has been setup at Dhanali road near to Meshana. The plant has been operational from May end, producing Kraft paper in reel form of GSM range 120 to 160. Exclusively talking to The Pulp and Paper Times,Mr. Jayendra said “We have invested Rs.25 Crore approximately to be channelized from Bank and our own.Now initial face of production is targeted to achieve the full installed capacity and we are also planning to enhance the production capacity after 4 to 5 months.”“Kraft paper will be based on waste paper as raw material to be sourced from India. The paper machine will have 4.0(finished) meters deckle size and the speed of the machine is designed at 300 m/min (finished paper)”informed by Mr. Kumar. All finished production will be sold out in Indian Market. The BF of paper is 12, 14 & 16 initially.
