Another new paper mill in morbi is ready to produce multi segment paper for corrugation & lamination industry. “The e-commerce industry has grown like anything in the past five years which has tremendously increased the demand for corrugated packaging products. As the demand for corrugated packaging products continues to increase, the demand for Kraftliner will also increase simultaneously.” explained by Mr Kuldip Gami, Partner at Palak Paper Mill LLP.

“Yes we have invested big amount for entering into Corrugation, food grade paper and laminate paper manufacturing in Morbi. There has been robust demand in packaging sector and we will be manufacturing White Top Liner, Absorbent & Kraft Paper on the same machine. Our QCS based integrated, 300 TPD state-of-art paper mill is expected to operate commercially from November 2018. Our Product range will fall under GSM range of 120 to 350 or may go up to 400 with 24 to 45 BF.” Mr. Kuldip revealed. (in picture Mr. Kuldip Gami, Partener - Palak Paper Mill LLP)

Palak Paper Mill has brought Indian and Chinese machines for paper production with deckle size 3.9 meter (finished) and machine speed is designed at 300 to 350 m/m. “Our recycled fibre based plant & Machinery has been supplied by SPM Engineers with indigenous and foreign machine mixer. Also we have installed all the critical components” Mr. Kuldip said.

“We have installed complete Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system in the mill only to produce 'smell less paper for food grade paper production. Our focus is to supply good quality paper to corrugators for reducing wastage in their operation.” Mr. Gami said.

Palak Paper is expected to provide employment to 100+ people in the region. The new paper mill is keen to export its paper in near future. Mr. Gami further describe that “we see a strong growth of Kraft paper consumption in the countries where is scarcity of recycle fibre prevailed.”     

White top Kraftliner can be easily printed with the different color to enhance aesthetics of the retail corrugated boxes. Some of the key properties of the Kraftliner is good tear resistance, high strength, durability, and good printability. Corrugated board, with bleached or unbleached Kraftliner, is used for wide range of packaging applications in the food & beverages, automotive, retail, cosmetic & personal care, and other end-use industries.
