Nachiketa Paper Plans to Install PM-III of 160 TPD Paper Production

Packaging Paper demand in India turning medium size paper mill in to large mill. Mill's premises are being used for expansion. “Increasing demand from fresh food and beverages, home & personal care goods, electronic goods industries, logistics application, increasing consumer awareness towards sustainable packaging and growth of the e-commerce industry have propelled the growth of Indian corrugated boxes market” explained by Mr. P.K. Mathur, Vice President at Nachiketa Paper Ltd.
“Yes, we are in the planning of installing third paper machine (PM) for the production of Kraft paper. After analysed the market situation and demand gap in packaging paper, we are pretty sure to have good return on our investment. Nachiketa Paper has pioneered in paper manufacturing since 1992 and having very good relations with all section of paper segment” Mr. Mathur said.
“We will install third machine of 160 TPD in the existing paper mill premises and is expected to start the commercial production by early next year (2020). It will be state-of art double wire machine for producing High BF paper production. Our purpose is to serve quality paper to corrugation Industry,” Mr. Mathur told.
India corrugated box industry is expected to increase double digit CAGR in between the FY'2018 and FY'2023 in terms of revenue due to the elevating demand from the end user segment in order to store and transport their end products. Increasing the demand of safe and cushioned packaging of the product will augment the growth of India Corrugated box market. The procurement of latest technology machines from China, Taiwan and other Asian countries by manufacturers in order to make production fast and accurate will also drive the future of India corrugated box industry.
Nachiketa Paper is producing 250 TPD paper currently. “We are manufacturing Absorbent Kraft on PM-1 and Kraft Board on PM-2. We are planning to produce 120 to 200 GSM kraft paper with 22 to 30 BF on PM-3. Soon, the civil work will take place in the paper mill to accommodate the paper machine,” Mr. Mathur informed.
“We have decided to install the best technology for producing high RCT paper. We have short-listed the Servall Engineering to supply the plant and machinery, for the Pulp mill, we would either choose Parason Machinery or go with Chinese supplier. Our Machine deckle will be 3 meter and speed is designed at 400 m/min,” Mr. Mathur further informed.
According to a report released by Indian Paper Manufacturers Association (IPMA) detailing the paper industry overview for 2017-2018, the per capita paper consumption in India is currently around 13-kgs, while the global average is 57-kgs. This is projected to increase to at least 17-kgs by 2024-25. The report said the paper industry has the market size of more than 17-million tonnes of paper and growing at around 7% per annum.
Nachiketa Paper will install Jumbo Press, Dryers, size press, Cylinders and critical components to achieve the higher grade of production.
