Paswara Papers launches low-cost corrugated board Bed for corona patients; Prototype is under approval process

India’s one of the largest kraft paper manufacturers, Paswara Papers has introduced a prototype of the medical bed made from corrugated board fibre to fulfill the growing demand for hospital beds amid corona pandemic.
Talking to The Pulp and Paper Times, Mr. Deept Agarwal, Director Paswara Papers said, “Here at Paswara Group, the team is always working towards indefinite possibilities and a sustainable future. This bed is made using 100% corrugated Kraft Paper. The low cost 100% recyclable bed weighs just 10kg and can withstand up to 250kgs while being water-resistant at the same time, suitable for Covid19 cause,”.
“We have used 180 GSM paperboard of 25 BF in manufacturing these beds. Our purpose behind launching this bed is to benefit local administration in fighting the corona pandemic. We have already sent the prototype bed to Government Authorities for approval. They liked our concept and design,”
“We are waiting for the green signal to initiate the mass production of the beds,” Mr. Deept said.
The growing COVID crisis has suddenly created an urgent need to add beds to house those who are quarantined or under treatment. These kind of beds are available for patients at low cost.
