El-Nile Paper in Egypt Starts Trial Paper Production

Across the globe the paper production is getting momentum, countries reducing the dependability on paper imports, especially in the Middle East, more and more paper mills are being started. Recently a new paper mill starts its first trial production of 250 TPD. 

The Pulp and Paper Times exclusively chat with El-Nile Paper Company's Director Mr. Romany Nady about the project, “it is really a proud moment for us that we have been able to achieve quality paper in the first attempt. We have been working on the project for long, and our entire team gave their support in starting the production. Our aim is to produce fluting, Test Liner, and white top liner paper of export quality,”  

“Being a Director of Engineering Administration, I have installed the plant and machinery entirely, imported from China, El-Nile is a completely automatic paper mill with all critical components,” Mr. Nady said.

The Egyptian Factory will produce 112 to 240 GSM paper of export quality grade paper, to be destined to Libya, Jordan, Sudan, and Tunisia as well for domestic sell. “We have a total investment of 28 Million Dollars, and we are very optimistic to have good RoR on our investment,” Mr. Nady told.

Egypt Imports of Paper and paperboard, articles of pulp, paper and board were US$1.16 Billion during 2017, according to the United Nations COMTRADE database on international trade.

The new paper mill is having a 3400 mm machine deckle while speed is designed at 300 m/min. Out of total production, 150 TPD will be exported.
