PAPEREX is pioneered in India for exhibiting Paper Exhibitions on the National Level, What was the idea behind to organize regional exhibition?

As you are aware that Paperex has become World's Largest Paper Show organize in Delhi once in two years.  And always very well attended by large gathering of Paper Manufacturers to explore the New Technology., Machinery & Equipment and Raw Material for Paper & Board Manufacturing. Also the mass audience of Paper Traders, Printers, Publisher, Converter and Paper Packaging Companies to explore the vast variety of papers at the show. Paperex South India is the extension, to provide a unified business platform with more opportunities for Paper & Allied Industries in alternative of Paperex event in New Delhi. The key objective of this business platform to help the Indian Paper Industry for Technology & Knowledge Transfer, identifying alternate suppliers of machinery & spares, new source of investments, face to face interaction with industry players, identifying new import & export destination., etc.

Western India is emerging as a big industrial hub, what is your plan to cater their technological and commercial requirements?

The paper manufacturing units are not based in main cities of western India. Yes some of the Big Technology & Machinery suppliers of paper industry are based in Gujarat & Maharashtra. Some of Machinery manufacturers of western India cater the global Paper industry. Both the paper manufacturers and supplier for paper manufacturing have crossed the regional boundaries to cater their targeted audience. Therefore both segments prefer to participate in Paperex In New Delhi to meet their commercial needs.

What differences you find in India Trade exhibition vs European or Chinese Trade exhibitions?

The exhibitions industry in India is trying hard to gain a foothold. The sector seen as quite unorganized in India, is making all-round efforts to tap the enormous potential offered by the burgeoning Indian economy. The Indian economy, being the fourth largest in the world, does not have the necessary support infrastructure for large exhibitions and thereby utilize economic opportunities. On the other hand there are well developed exhibition venues Quality infrastructure, Industry Friendly Policy are available in Europe and China  to support exhibition industry.

An exhibition is graded as successful on point of participation level by the exhibitors and the visitors. How do you grade your Trade exhibitions?

What growth of paper industry you see in next 5 years and as a pioneer exhibition organizer?

The paper industry in India has become more promising despite the continued focus on digitization, India's demand for paper is expected to rise by 53 per cent in the next five years. Increasing population and literacy rate, growth in GDP, improvement in manufacturing sector and current lifestyle are speeding up the growth.  The focus of paper industry is now shifting towards more eco-friendly products and technology. Do you think that Online (E- commerce) selling of Capital goods through Big portals, is reducing the Exhibition market?

I have the opinion that Digital Media revolution has supported the growth of Exhibition industry in India. We have more way to promote the exhibition amongst the targeted audience. There is a No Substitute or Alternative option of Exhibition, as it give the unique opportunity of Two way interaction between Buyer and Supplier. On the other hand advertisement provides one way communication.

Marketing or Technology which one is more important in your view? Can technology be sold without Marketing?

I feel both cannot survive without support of each other.  Technology is a regular need of the industry and marketing is need of Technology & industry to connect with each other.
