Jabali Papers invests Rs. 4.5 Cr. to Expand
Jabalpur, December,
06, 2017, TPPT:
“With the ever-growing awareness of environmental issues
among the population, consumers are increasingly turning their loyalties to
eco-conscious businesses and products. As a business owner, it is easy to be
overwhelmed by the large amount of new terms and products that have become
popular over the years due to their environmentally friendly design and Kraft
is one of them†explained by Mr. Jitendra Katariya, Director of Jabali Papers
Limited.
“We have invested Rs. 4.5 Cr. for the enhancement of our
production capacity by 35 TPD; currently it is operating at 45 TPD. The
production capacity of total 80 TPD is expected to achieve by mid-January 2018.
We have done construction modification in the existing premises to accommodate
the additional plant and machinery being supplied by D.S. Engineers, Ahemdabad.
The process of erection of plant and machinery at the site is on the way. We
have added size press, jumbo press and nine dryers into the system to get the
extra production level.†Mr. Katariya informed to The Pulp and Paper Times.
Jabali Papers is manufacturing 80 to 140 GSM paper with BF
range 12 to 16. “After expansion our GSM range would be extended up to 180 GSM
as well as BF up to 22. We are expecting to provide 10 to 15 direct employments
on various machines.†Mr. Katariya added. Jabali Papers is selling out its
papers in domestic market.
Kraft paper products are made using the Kraft process,
which, like other paper production methods, involves the chemical conversion of
wood into wood pulp. The structural components in wood are lignin and
cellulose. Since lignin doesn’t make good paper, it must be separated from the
cellulose. To do this, wood chips are cooked in “white liquor†made of sodium
sulfide and sodium hydroxide. They break the lignin and cellulose apart,
leaving solid wood pulp and a “black liquorâ€. The wood chips have now been
turned to a pulp and are screened to remove any larger pieces. The pulp is
washed to remove any residual cooking liquors and can then be formed into
various paper products.
