Mohit Paper Mill is in Expansion Mode, Adding 100 TPD Writing Printing Paper

Bijnor, OCT, 05, 2016: Rising demand of writing and printing paper, coupled with a fall in raw material prices, helped boost margins of Indian paper mills. Paper Industry has secured a good margin in the first quarter of FY 2016-17. “We are excited to see the growth of paper industry pampering paper mills to add more capacities in their plant. Mohit Paper has decided to go into the major expansion mode adding 100 Tonnes-per-day Writing Printing paper capacities in its existing plant.” told by Mr. Sandeep Jain, Chairman,

Mohit Paper Mills Ltd. to The Pulp and Paper Times. Mr. Sandeep said “Currently we are operating at 60 TPD producing writing printing paper and we plan to achieve production of 160 TPD from June or July 2017. We are going to importing a good quality second machine with deckle size of 3.2 meter (finished) and machine is designed at a speed of 550 m/m. We will cater our raw material supply through local Sugar Mills using Baggase Pulp.”

Mohit Paper has 8 sugar mills in the radius of 20 kilometres of its plant. In the writing and printing segment, there is a discernible trend towards consumers wanting better quality paper. Several state governments have announced tenders with enhanced volumes for notebooks and textbooks. The number of queries from the publishing industry has also seen an increase. Some of the issues that had plagued the education season in the past couple of years such as change in syllabi, pattern of Centre-state funding under the Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan etc have been corrected. However Mr. Jain refused to divulge the total investment figure. We are envisaging our expansion investment through internal resources.
