Jagdhatri Paper Mill commissions its double wire PM-2 targeting high BF kraft paper segment

NKR Engineers has supplied the whole plant and machinery

Based on packaging form, the corrugated segment is projected to dominate the Kraft paper market, in terms of value and volume, from 2019 to 2025. Corrugated boxes not only offer protection to shipped goods from damages but also offer easy handling features. The reusable and recyclable nature of corrugated boxes reduces packaging waste. This has resulted in an increased demand for corrugated boxes in various industries such as food & beverages, building & construction, clothing, freight forwarding, logistics, cosmetics & personal care, and pharmaceuticals

“The growing environmental concerns to use recyclable and degradable packages have led to a rise in the demand for Kraft papers. Kraft papers have a rising trend of manufacturing it through natural recycling which has though lesser strength than virgin natural craft paper, but it is more eco-friendly and still has enough strength to fill void applications. The growing packaging industry and paper industry is largely driving the growth of the global kraft paper market,” Said Mr. N.K. Desai, Managing Director, NKR Engineers who have supplied the plant and machinery to the new paper mill.

Situated at Madurantakam,Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Jagdhatri Paper has conducted a trial on its paper machine-II and reeled the paper in first attempt smoothly. “We are very happy that paper mill reeled paper successfully on our Installed  plant. NKR Engineer has a proven track record for the successful commissioning of paper plants across India and abroad,” Mr. Desai said.

NKR Engineers had also supplied the first machine of Jagdhatri Papers in the year 2000, “The paper machine order placed by Jagdhatri Group for 2nd machine shows our strong creditability in market and trust of customer” Mr. Desai said. Jagdhatri Paper has installed a double wire paper machine with 250 TPD capacities. They intend to manufacture high BF paper between 16 to 30 and GSM range will be 120 to 450.

The new 2nd paper machine has 4-meter finished deckle, NKR Engineers has supplied whole plant and machinery excepts pulp machine section which is partially supplied by Parason Machinery also.

“Jagdhatri Papers have bought almost 100 percent equipment and machinery up to pop reel from us, we have also performed the framing of machine work for them,” Mr. Desai informed.
