Tonza Paper to Start 150 TPD Kraft Paper Production
Morbi, 02 MARCH, 2017
The rising cost of imported waste paper has started to push
the mills to source more quantities from the domestic market. The consequent
increase in domestic demand has made local wastepaper more expensive forcing
kraft mills to either shut down or reduce per day production by 30-35 per cent.
Amidst, Morbi based new paper mill Tonza Paper is going to start its packaging
kraft paper production from April 2017.
Exclusively talking to The Pulp and Paper Times, Mr. Chintan
Nayakpara, Managing Director of Tonza Paper said “Price hike in raw material is
a normal cycle that will pass soon. We are expecting to start 150 TPD
commercial production of packaging paper by the end of April.
Kraft paper is aimed to be produced under the range between
100 to 250 GSM.
“Kraft paper will be
based on waste paper as raw material to be sourced from India and aboard. The
paper machine will have 3.850 meter finished deckle size and the speed of the
machine is designed at 300 m/min (finished paper). Informed by Nayakpara.
