If we say India is experiencing 'Kraft Revolution' that may not be proved wrong. Every corner of India is witnessing of Kraft Paper manufacturing. In this row of Kraft production, Sampada Paper Industry has listed its name in manufacturing of Kraft Paper Production. Situated at Sangli district of Maharashtra, Sampada Paper has successfully commenced its 150 TPD paper production.
Talking to The Pulp and Paper Times, the internal sources of the Mills said “yes we have achieved the target of trial production and is slated to start the full commercial operation in a week time. It is very proud moments for us because we are not just contributing in Make-in-India programme but also giving direct employment to 500 people in the region.
Our GSM range is 100 to 250 and Burst Factor (BF) is 16 to 28. Sampada Paper will earmark it production partially for the Indian and overseas market.â€
Kraft papers are referred to a paper or paperboard which is used for various applications such as packaging and others. Kraft paper is a porous along with high elasticity and high tear resistance. Kraft paper is designed for packaging products with high demands for strength and durability. Kraft papers are light in weight and tough in physical properties. Kraft papers have no harmful effect on environment.
Sampada Paper is part of Bansi Pulp and Paper Group. The new plant is highly automatic with latest technology. “We have invested Rs. 40 Corer in new plant. It is an automatic as well manually operated plant. We have installed Scanner, PLC control, Head Box and Size Press etc with full water treatment system as well. We have procured the Plant and Machinery from D.S. Engineer and Parason Machinery. Our deckle of the machine will be 3.2 metre (finished) speed is designed at 280 m/min. Based on waste paper as raw material, we won't leave any stone unturned to make our plant highly automatic, maintaining the high standard of paper making keeping in mind future course of action, especially for expansion†Sources informed.
In the regional platform, Asia-Pacific region is estimated to be the biggest market of kraft papers in 2016. Additionally, Asia-Pacific region is believed to continue its dominance during the forecast period owing to huge adoption of kraft papers by various packaging industries. The major countries witnessing the augmented demand for kraft papers are Japan, China and India. Likely, rising adoption of clean packaging products and favorable government initiatives are envisioned to foster the growth of kraft papers market in the region.
