Ahmedabad, 05 April, 2016: Newsprint, writing printing and absorbent Kraft paper manufacturer Shree Rajeshwaranand Paper Mills Limited has increased its production capacity from 80 tonnes-per-day (TPD) to 110 TPD. Mr. Prakash Vora, Managing Director of Shree Rajeshwaranand Paper Mills excitedly intimate about the expansion to The Pulp and Paper Times. Mr. Vora said “we have invested 30 cr. for improving the pulp section last year. Basically we have setup new DIT plant brought from Voith Germany. Our speed of machine has increased from 600 mpm to 750 mpm.†The paper mill is using waste paper as raw material. The cost of production in India is much higher comparing to other countries. Mr Vora said “power cost, financial cost and raw material import duty are collectively high in India making our product noncompetitive. The cost of production China and European countries’ newsprint is lower than to Indian Newsprint thus lots of newsprint is being imported to Indian port. We are being charged 8 Rs. per unit in India for electricity while China charges less than India. Government is not considering our demand to levy the anti dumping duty on imported paper.â€
