Q: LOM has always been a pioneer supplier in introducing the most innovative & revolutionary products that can ripple the paper converting market, what new product you have recently introduced and what are USPs of these products?

Q: What is your quick review on the present condition, post-second Covid wave, markets are opened, and School & collages have resumed studies. Do you think the pressure on Paper industry in terms of demand would vanish completely in next three to four months?
It is too early to judge the situation. Esp. when new and new corona variants are coming up. In this scenario, demand will be continued for another 4 to 6 months.
Q: We have seen few new trends in Paper Industry, like big paper mills are showing more interest in forward integration by setting up Converting Machinery under one roof. How do you evaluate this trend? Do you think this trend may eat small-time converter’s margin?
Due to the forward integration of big paper mills, some margin of small converters will hamper. However, demand is huge, so whoever does quality work will have their piece of the pie.
Q: How many products are in your product portfolio and what kind of industries does LOM serve and to how many countries do you export?
We have machines for 3 different market segments: (a) Paper Stationery Machinery, (b) Paper Converting Machinery & (c) Packaging Machinery. In totality, we have 50+ machine models to offer considering all 3 segments. We export to 75+ countries in addition to India.
Q: Maintaining "After Sales and Service" is an important part of the sale, How LOM does manage its service call in the domestic and international market?
We have developed our software - “Support Pro†to provide prompt after-sales service to our customers in India & abroad. We have 40+ service engineers/technicians moving worldwide to support our machines. All customer complaints will get registered in “Support Pro.†Then, based on the complaint type, the Customer Support Division administrative team will coordinate further. Soon, we are planning to give our customers access to “Support Pro.†So that they can also have real-time status of our actions for their complaints.
Q: Can we say that LOM is a totally ‘made in India’ company or utilize some foreign technology? please elaborate.
Line O Matic is a truly “Made In India†company. We also use a majority of components that are manufactured in India.
Q: What is LOM's projection for the paper converting market's growth for next 5 years? What is LOM's preparation to grab the major shares in paper converting machinery market?
We foresee paper converting market growth will be doubled in the coming 5 years. By Visualizing the said growth, Lineomatic has planned to develop new products that will help the industry optimize production while reducing production costs.
Q: What market share LOM holds in paper converting machinery segment? What are LOM's strategies to maintain its position in market leadership?
Lineomatic enjoys 12 to 15% market share in the paper converting machinery segment. Lineomatic is committed to developing new machines that can minimize production costs while getting higher output to maintain its position. Both parameters will help our customers achieve better sustainability in the cutthroat competition scenario. In addition to this, our focus on after-sales service will also help us gain our position.
Q: What common problems does LOM see in the papermaking & paper converting industries and what solution does LOM provide to resolve the issues?
We feel that usage of old technology is an area of concern. Lineomatic provides machines with latest Technology upgradation&automation to get consistency in output.
Q11. How does LOM evaluate its machinery products in comparison of European converting machinery products?
We manufacture our machines with at par technology of any European converting machinery products. We keep the same meteorology while deciding mechanical structure as well as components. We use similar standard brought-out components while configuring the machine. We also use the same quality standards while manufacturing the machine. In a nutshell, our machines are equivalent to any European machine.
