Krofta Paper to start Tissue Plant from March 2017
Palwal (Hr), December, 25, 2016: The tissue paper industry in India is growing at an average of 20-25% annually depending on the region. At present consumption in the tissue paper industry is estimated at around 1.25 lakh tonnes. Being an essential hygiene and sanitary product, has gained worldwide acceptance and stands out as an indispensable sanitation enabler today. In the row of Tissue Production, Krofta Paper has planned to undergo in produncig the tissue paper.
The company is setting up a tissue production facility at Hathin under Palwal District with total outlay of Rs. 22 Cr. Sharing the details exclusively with The Pulp and Paper Times, Mr. Amrish Mathur, Vice President Project said “Krofta Papers is in the business of production and marketing of wood free writing and printing paper, now we have come in to the Tissue Paper Production from March 2017. A 35 TPD tissue paper plant installation is expected to be finished by February or March 2017 and the commercial production will be started from March 2017.â€
Tissue paper is a lightweight paper and has become one of the most essential commodities of daily life. Tissue paper products are generally made from three main types of raw material: Woodfree (or chemical) pulp, Wood containing (or mechanical) pulp and Recovered paper. The tissue paper came into use in 1920's and since then the consumption of tissue paper has been consistently increasing. Mr. Mathur further revealed that “Majorly there are five types of tissue papers namely; Bathroom Tissue, Facial Tissue, Paper Towel, Paper Napkin and, Specialty and Wrapping Tissue in 13 to 35 GSM range.
We are looking for to go in average production of 15 to 16 GSM covering Toilet and Napkin. We have already placed the order of Plant and Machinery to Beloit (Germany) while Pulp mill is from Parason Machinery. The finished deckle of Machine is 2.4 Meters while speed is designed at 1100 meters/min.
Global Tissue Paper market to grow at a CAGR of 4.9 percent over the period 2012-2016. One of the key factors contributing to this market growth is the increasing demand of tissue paper for personal hygiene. The Global Tissue Paper market has also been witnessing an increase in the number of international trips between the western and eastern worlds. However, the increasing demand for hand-drier machines could pose a challenge to the growth of this market.
